Over 40 companies and 250 intermediaries and investors will come together during this gathering
The 17th Latibex Forum, organised by BME, begins tomorrow with an opening event that will be presided over by Mauro Borges Lemos, Executive Chairman of Cemig, Julio Linares, Vice President of Telefónica and Antonio Zoido, Chairman of BME.
Under the “Eurolatam Business Meeting” heading, this year’s Forum intends to expand its capital markets focus to also set the pace in other broader economic scenarios such as the business and institutional relations between Spain and Latin America.
During the two-day Forum, more than 40 Latin American companies will come together with over 250 European investors and financial intermediaries in Madrid. At the different conferences and panels that will take place such topics will be addressed as the importance of tourism in Latin America and the future of the region’s banking sector while other major sectors such as construction, real estate and oil and petrochemical, will receive particular attention.
On the first day of the Forum, seven panels will take place about topics such as “Latin America, a macro vision”, “The challenge of developing renewable energies in Latin America”, “The importance of tourism in the Latin American economies” and “The construction and real estate sectors”.
The second day will feature a key address by Enrique V. Iglesias, First Latin American General Secretary and former Chairman of the Banco Interamericano de Desarrollo, during the panel“Latin America in the current international scenario”. Other topics that will be addressed on this second session are “Investing in Latin America, the manager’s recommendations”, “The Spanish Midcaps in Latam” and “The Latam companies in Europe”.
During this annual gathering, the best macro-analysts specialising in Latin America and some of the most experienced investors will come together to share their outlook on the region’s prospects.
