Through its subsidiaries Asturias Propco Número 1, S.L. and Asturias Propco Número 2 S.L., the Company owns the “intu Asturias” retail and leisure shopping centre (formerly known as “Parque Principado”), located 7.5 km south west of Oviedo, near the 66 highway; whose surface area is 75,000 sqm approximately. The shopping and leisure complex is situated over two floors and there are 161 retail and leisure units, including a cinema with 12 screens plus more than 20 restaurants and a bowling alley.
intu Asturias is part of a commercial complex, whose surface area is 120,000 sqm. The catchment area comprises Asturias and its surrounding cities. The centre receives over 11 million customer visits per annum and has over 5,000 car parking spaces.
The centre has won awards including Best Big Shopping Mall (AECC 2002), Special Merit Awarded AECC 2004 in the marketing category, Merit Awarded Institutional Campaign (ICSC 2005) and Best Charitable Campaign “Recycling Planet” (International Festival of Social Marketing 2014).
The strategy of the Board of Asturias Retail and Leisure SOCIMI, S.A. is to continue to attract high quality international and national retailers, to grow footfall and ultimately to increase net rental income.
