Grenergy candidate in the "Rising Star" category and Inclam in the "Star of 2016" category
Grenergy and Inclam, two companies listed on the Mercado Alternativo Bursátil (MAB) have been shortlisted as candidates for the fourth edition of the "European Small and Mid-Cap Awards" among a large number of European companies. As in previous years, the European stock exchanges have submitted their nominated listed companies, of which 12 have been shortlisted, among them the two Spanish.
The European Commission wants to promote and encourage the success of new IPOs in order to create a favourable environment in which companies can raise financing. To this end, through the Directorate General for Enterprise and Industry in 2013 launched the first European Small and Mid-cap Awards, intended to give European recognition and international visibility to the most successful small-cap companies.
Companies eligible for the awards must be nominated by a stock exchange that belongs to the European Union and be listed on a regulated market or a Multilateral Trading Facility (MTF).
An independent jury set up by the European Commission and composed of representatives of the media, academia, business and investment and asset management community will decide the winners in each category in an event hosted by the Federation of European Stock Exchanges (FESE) and European Issuers to be held in Brussels on November 17.
Since the creation of MAB, the 59 companies listed on it have raised over €750 million in new funding via equity.
