As of tomorrow and until 31 May, over 110 Small and Midcap companies listed on the Spanish stock market and 190 institutional investors – of which 60 are non-residents - will participate during three days in the 14th MEDCAP Forum of Small and Medium Capitalisation companies, which BME will host in the Madrid Stock Exchange.

Antonio Zoido, Chairman of BME, will welcome participants during the opening session, alongside Fernando Ruiz, Chairman of Deloitte, María Ángeles Vallvé, Chairwoman of GVC Gaesco, Antonio Zabalza, Chairman and CEO de Ercros, Francisco López, CEO of Gestamp and Ramón Aragonés, CEO of NH.

More than 1,500 scheduled one to one meetings between listed companies and buy-side investors and discovery meetings will provide a better understanding of the situation, evolution and prospects of Spanish midcaps. The Forum will be attended by a record number of attendees and corporate delegates, with more than 45 chairpersons and CEOs.

The main objectives of the Forum are to boost the liquidity and financing potential of these companies and to allow investors, especially non-residents, to meet a group of companies that over the last few years have proven that their growth and internationalisation policies have been the right ones.

Sectoral panels, such as one dedicated to real estate companies, will be alternated with conferences and roundtables on various topics of interest, such as the manager’s views and publicly traded family businesses. The luncheon of the first session will feature a keynote address by the Secretary of State for the Economy and Business Affairs, Irene Garrido Valenzuela. During the second day, Rainier Riess, Director General of FESE, will announce the European Small and Midcap Awards Nominations and again this year the evening will be dedicated to MARF.

For the 8th consecutive year, the third day will be dedicated to a meeting between companies and investors in MAB and will feature a keynote address by Ana María Martínez-Pina, Vice-Chairwoman of the Spanish stock market supervisor, CNMV.

The main sponsors of the 14th MEDCAP Forum are Deloitte and GVC Gaesco Beka.
