The Mercado Alternativo de Renta Fija (MARF), a BME’s market, has registered a new commercial paper (CP) programme by Operibérica with a total value of €30 million, which brings the number of companies that have used MARF’s commercial paper programmes to 27, from 13 different economic sectors.

Under this programme, Operibérica will be able to issue individual tranches of CPs during a year, with nominal values of €100,000 and maximum maturities of up to 24 months.

Bankia acts as the programme’s Sole Lead Arranger & Placement Entity and Deloitte Financial Advisory as Registered Advisor. Deloitte Asesores Tributarios has assisted legally the company in the registration process.

The total outstanding volume of MARF’s commercial paper programmes since this BME’s market was launched, in December 2013, has reached €2.75 billion.

MARF’s commercial paper programmes have become a very useful tool for providing companies with short-term financing, while also adding financial flexibility and broadening their investor base, becoming on many occasions their choice for accessing the market for the first time.

Operibérica is the parent company of a group of enterprises concerned with the recreational gambling sector. It was founded in 1981 and since 2000 has become part of Codere group with a history of more than 35 years, listed on the Spanish Stock Exchange and a reference player in the gaming sector in Europe and Latin America. Currently, Operibérica operates more than 7.000 slot machines installed in near 5.200 leisure places.
