BME and the Spanish Global Compact Network ring the bell for gender equality

BME and the Spanish Global Compact Network will Ring the Bell for Gender Equality on 8 Marchfor the second consecutive year. This initiative, in which more than 65 stock exchanges from around the world participate, aims to send the message that gender equality is key to boosting the global economy and the private sector has a pivotal role to play in it.

The event will take place next Friday, March 8, at 8:30 hrs CET, at the Madrid Stock Exchange Palace building (Plaza de la Lealtad, 1). The bell-ringing will be carried out  by Ana María Martínez-Pina, vice- president of the securities market regulator, CNMV, who will be accompanied by Antonio Zoido, chairman of BME, and Cristina Sánchez, acting executive director of the Spanish Global Compact Network.

The initiative is part of the Ring the bell for Gender Equality international movement which this year holds its 5th edition, in which stock exchanges  worldwide will ring their bells for gender equality.
