BME participates in "Madrid Centre of Ibero-American internationalisation".

On 17 October, numerous company presidents, business families, investors and family offices from Spain and Latin America met in Madrid with the common goal of discussing how and with whom to invest in Spain.

The event was held at the new IE University Tower and was inaugurated by Isabel Díaz Ayuso, President of the Community of Madrid (Spain).

Madrid is also a pioneer in internationalisation through the stock markets, as was discussed in the round table “Tools for Internationalisation through the markets”. Juan Carlos Martínez Lázaro, Director of the Spanish Investment in Latin America report (Spain) and Jesús González Nieto-Márquez, Managing Director of Latibex and BME Growth.

"Latin America is a key area for generating foreign investment in Spain. Currently, around 650 Latin American companies have investments in Spain and employ more than 32,000 workers," said Martínez Lázaro.

Jesús González Nieto-Marquez, Managing Director of Latibex and BME Growth (Spain), said that the dual investment channel from Europe and Spain to the region and vice versa is of enormous interest in developing the economies of both areas. 

González Nieto-Márquez explained that the BME stock market is a powerful tool to help such investments. Latibex and BME Growth can channel money to companies and sectors that may be attractive to Ibero-American capital and to share that investment with other types of investors as partners.

 In just a few days, from 21 to 23 November, Madrid will once again be the centre of attention regarding Latin America with the LATIBEX Forum. This annual meeting of companies with interests in the region and international investors combines panels and round tables with one-on-one meetings between companies and institutional investors who request them.
