The Spanish Exchange traded €47.3 billion in july
The Spanish Exchange traded €47.3 billion in Equities in July, down 9.3% year-on-year. The number of trades in July reached 3.9 million, in line with June.
The number of Warrants and Certificates admitted to trading in July came in at 3,372, up 7% year on year.
Trading of Financial Derivatives in July decreased by 3.6% compared to the same month the previous year. Trading in Futures on the IBEX 35 and Stock Options increased by 6.2% and 37.4% respectively year-on-year while the overall open position grew 1% in particular Stock Futures (6.6%) and IBEX 35 Options (53.2%).
In Fixed Income, the volume traded in July increased by 4% compared to the same period last year. The increase posted during the first seven months of the year was of 26.9%. On the other hand, the volume of new issues admitted to trading on MARF reached 816 million euros, with an increase of 36.3% compared to the same month last year. The accumulated trading volume at the end of the first seven months of the year totalled 3.8 billion euros, a year-on-year increase of 44.5%. The outstanding balance in this market reaches 3 billion euros (+ 28.6%).
