Changes to the composition of the Board of Directors of BME

• Juan March Juan, Santos Martínez-Conde and Ignacio Garralda have submitted their resignation as members of the Board of Directors of BME
• On the proposal of SIX, Jos Dijsselhof and Daniel Schmucki have been unanimously appointed as new members of the Board

The Board of Directors of BME today announced changes to its composition. Juan March Juan and Santos Martínez-Conde today submitted their resignation as members of the Board of Directors and members of the Board Committees of which they formed part. These resignations come as a result of the full transfer of the shareholding of BME held by Corporación Financiera Alba, a company that they represented on the Board of Directors, within the framework of the Voluntary Public Offering of Acquisition of Shares presented by SIX Group.

Ignacio Garralda has also submitted his resignation as a member of the Board of Directors of BME and member of the Committee of which he was a part.

The Board of Directors of BME unanimously agreed to appoint Jos Dijsselhof and Daniel Schmucki as members of the Board of Directors through the system of vacancy provision by co-option, after the mandatory favourable reports from the Appointments and Remuneration Committee. Furthermore, the Board of Directors has approved the appointment of Jos Dijsselhof as a member of the Appointments and Remuneration Committee and of the Markets and Systems Operating Procedures Committee, and of Daniel Schmucki as member of the Audit Committee.

Jos Dijsselhof is the CEO of SIX and Daniel Schmucki the CFO.

The two new members of the Board of Directors of BME, both on the proposal of SIX, have been classified as external proprietary Directors and shall exercise their mandate until the Company's first General Shareholders' Meeting. Both have been present by videoconference at said meeting of the Board of Directors and have accepted their appointments as Company Directors.

These appointments are subject to authorisation by the Spanish National Securities Market Commission, CNMV.
