David Jiménez-Blanco is appointed Chairman of the Madrid Stock Exchange
- Jorge Yzaguirre, Director of Markets and Market Data of BME, is appointed CEO
The agreements for the appointments of David Jiménez-Blanco as Chairman of the Madrid Stock Exchange and of the other members of the Governing Company of the Madrid Stock Exchange's board of directors announced on July 30th were ratified today.
The Board is then made up of 5 members: David Jiménez-Blanco, Non-Executive Deputy Chairman of BME; Jorge Yzaguirre, Director of Markets and Market Data of BME; Marta Bartolomé, CFO of BME; Beatriz Alonso-Majagranzas, Head of Equities of BME; and Ana Isabel Fernández, who was an independent director at BME until last July 30th.
As no executive powers are attached to the position of Chairman, Jorge Yzaguirre has been appointed CEO. The appointments are subject to the mandatory authorisation from the Spanish stock market supervisor, CNMV.
