Company Profile
INCLAM, S.A. is a parent company of a business group including 18 companies. The group is present in 20 countries, it has ten permanent offices outside Spain, and 95 percent of the profit of the company derives from foreign markets. All this is a fruit of investing in technology, experience and talent in water engineering since 1986.
The company bases its activities on development and application of hydrological and hydraulic simulation programs, and furthermore, it has also extended the variety of the works it is engaged to. Hence, INCLAM is currently working in several sectors, developing such a wide range of works as EPC-construction works, water resource and institutional development consulting works, hydraulic projects and supervision works, Flood Early Warning Systems, and, in general, all kind of water-related activities. During the last few years, Climate Change Area has also been added to company´s specializations, and it is closely linked to all the fields and activities mentioned above.
The group´s main strength is technology, and, therefore, a special emphasis should be laid on the R & D + I division. The investment to this division varies between five to ten percent of the consolidated sales of the company. Naturally, such a high technological inspiration and commitment cannot be maintained without highly qualified personnel. The group currently has more than 200 employees. More than 60 % of the personnel has completed academic studies and holds a bachelor´s, master´s or higher university degree.
As for the strictly economic aspects, the group´s turnover in 2014 reached nearly 28 million euros (consolidated numbers) with an EBITDA of more than 3 million. The turnover of Inclam was less than 10 million of euros in 2008, and since then the company has increased its turnover. This increase is remarkable, as it was reached during a deep economic crisis, which affected the engineering industry profoundly by reducing its turnover and employment by more than 15 %. Furthermore, a decisive international consolidation process has supported this growth.
The future of INCLAM group is outlined until 2020 in its Strategic Plan. The plan has two essential elements: The first is the consolidation all the four productive divisions of the Group (EPC, Work Consultancy, Supervision and Projects and Climatic Change) in all the operating markets. The second is the commercialization of the technology already developed in our R & D + I processes. This technology is essentially related to water resources management and capacity optimization software tools and applications.
The Group is a member of Tecniberia (the Spanish Association of Engineering Companies), and it has held the posts of the president and vice-president of the Environmental Commission. The group is also a member of ASICMA, Madrid Engineering Association.
INCLAM is a carbon neutral group. We calculate our carbon footprint and compensate our emissions by planting trees in our forests, which are registered by the Spanish Climate Change Office.
