Group Lantania registers its first Commercial Paper Programme at MARF for 50 million euros

The BME's fixed income market, MARF, has admitted to trading a Commercial Paper Programme of Grupo Lantania, for an outstanding balance of €50 million. The Commercial Paper to be issued under the program will have unit notional amounts of 100,000 euros and maturities ranging from 3 days to a maximum of 24 months. This Commercial Paper Programme is the first registered by the company at MARF and will allow it accessing qualified investors to diversify its short-term financial sources.

AFI has participated as Registered Advisor and Banco Santander is the Coordinating Entity of the program. In addition to Banco Santander itself, Banco Sabadell will act as Placement Entity for the notes. Pérez-Llorca Abogados has acted as legal advisor.

EthiFinance Rating has given Grupo Lantania a long-term rating of BB with a stable trend.

Grupo Lantania is a Spanish infrastructure, water, energy and building project management group. In the infrastructure area, it specializes in the execution of projects covering a wide range of activities, including the construction of highways, high-speed and conventional railway lines, railroad stations, urban development works, viaducts, tunnels, among other civil engineering projects. The water business line includes works associated with the integral water cycle, from catchment, drinking water treatment, distribution and purification, to the return of treated water to natural watercourses. This business segment has been strengthened by the consolidation of desalination services, which include the design, procurement, construction, operation and maintenance of desalination plants around the world. In the energy sector, Lantania is also involved in renewable energy projects: design, construction and maintenance of generation, transmission and distribution projects, and the execution of high-voltage substation and transmission line projects and transmission infrastructures. Finally, the group is involved in the construction of a wide variety of residential and non-residential buildings, both public and private.

At the end of 2023, Grupo Lantania achieved a turnover of 375 million euros and obtained an EBITDA of 12.5 million euros.

Lantania has a portfolio of work in progress of more than 700 million euros and assets of more than 200 million euros. It is present in 11 countries, has a workforce of more than 1,000 workers and is made up of seven companies: Lantania, Lantania Aguas, Traviesas y Prefabricados de Aragón, DSV Constructora y Ferroviaria, Gestilar Construcciones, Balzola and Indania. The company applies the principles of the United Nations Global Compact in all its operations.
