SIX to Partner with ARTEX MTF, the World’s First Art Shares Exchange

SIX will participate in the world’s first art shares exchange. ARTEX MTF AG has been granted a license to operate a Multilateral Trading Facility (MTF). With this partnership ARTEX will offer to invest and trade in a new alternative asset class and SIX is going to provide services relating to clearing and settlement services and market data feed.  

ARTEX aims to democratise the fine art market, making it inclusive and accessible. Art shares will have aninitial nominal value of EUR 100, allowing millions to invest in some of the greatest artworks ever created.ARTEX-listed masterpieces will be on public display, in museums and exhibitions around the world (for all to contemplate).
