Tomorrow, February 9, the sixteenth edition of the Frankfurt European Midcap Event will be held, an annual meeting in which BME is a regular sponsor and which this year returns to the face-to-face format, after several editions in which it was not possible due to the health situation. The event aims to put Spanish small and mid-cap companies in contact with 25 European investors, mainly German, interested in this profile of issuers, mainly fund managers and family offices.
In this edition, BME will present 12 companies, 8 from the main market (CAF, Grenergy, Melia Hotels, Neinor Homes, Opdenergy, Prosegur, Técnicas Reunidas and Soltec) and another 4 from BME Growth (Arteche, Enerside, Holaluz and Izertis).
Together they have a market value of 7 billion euros.
BME designs and develops an annual plan for Spanish companies to access institutional investors. This international meeting is one of the initiatives of this plan and provides companies listed on the Spanish market with direct and efficient contact with German institutional investors, although some Swiss and Swedish investors will also attend.
Executives of the Spanish companies attending will hold private meetings with portfolio managers and investment funds, as well as with investment managers from various companies. In the 65 meetings planned, Spanish companies will have the opportunity to present their latest economic and financial data, their performance and prospects, and to answer questions from investors. This process of transparency and visibility is key to gaining investor confidence and facilitating greater liquidity and financing capacity for companies.
