MEFF to start trading Weekly Options

MEFF, the Derivatives Exchange of BME, will start trading Weekly Options as of 29 June.

The expiry date of this kind of Options are the first, second, fourth and - if any - the fifth Friday of the month (or prior working day if this one is holiday). Options with expiry on the third Friday will be considered Options with monthly expiry.

 MEFF will admit to trading Weekly Options on the following underlying assets: 

  • IBEX 35® index
  • Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria (BBVA)
  • Banco Santander (SAN)
  • Iberdrola (IBE)
  • Inditex (ITX)
  • Repsol (REP)
  • Telefónica (TEF)

Four Weekly Option expiries, American and European style will be open for trading.

MEFF wishes to emphasize that, if a market participant needs options with maturities different from the standard ones, it is possible to trade options with non-standard expiries.
