Eduardo Ansaldo is appointed Executive Chairman of the Barcelona Stock Exchange

• Replacing Joan Hortalá

The Board of Directors of the Barcelona stock exchange has appointed Eduardo Ansaldo Executive Chairman of the company, replacing Joan Hortalá.

Previously, Eduardo Ansaldo was a director and the general manager of the Barcelona Stock Exchange.

Ansaldo has a Master's Degree in Economics and Business Administration (MBA) from IESE - Business School, University of Navarra, a Bachelor Degree in Geological Science  (with specialisation in Applied Geology) from the Faculty of Geological Science of the University of Barcelona and a Postgraduate Degree in Oil Engineering from the Barcelona School of Industrial Engineering.

Prior to his appointment, Eduardo Ansaldo was CFO of the Barcelona stock Exchange and Head of Compliance of BME.
