BME today, June 16, welcomed the launch of Sabadell Broker, Banco Sabadell’s new brokerage platform, which joins BME’s retail pricing scheme with the aim of fostering greater participation from individual investors in the markets.
The event, held at the Madrid Stock Exchange Palace, included a ceremonial bell-ringing and a presentation outlining the main objectives of the new broker, as well as its value proposition for investors.
Representing BME, David Jiménez-Blanco joined Banco Sabadell’s executives during the ceremony, extending a warm welcome to the institution on this new strategic step.
The addition of Sabadell Broker to BME’s retail pricing scheme, specifically designed to improve market access conditions for individual investors, marks an important step forward in the development of this model. The scheme aims to support increased participation from this segment, enhancing market efficiency and competitiveness.
Although the institution is already part of the scheme, the advantages associated with the retail pricing model will be implemented progressively and will initially be available to all clients in the near term.
“The inclusion of Sabadell Broker in our retail pricing scheme reinforces BME’s commitment to bringing markets closer to individual investors by offering a more efficient and competitive environment,” said Patricia Moreno, Head of Business Development and Strategy for Spain at SIX.
From Banco Sabadell, they stated:
“The launch of Sabadell Broker represents a key step in our strategy to provide our clients with more comprehensive and innovative investment solutions, supported by the robustness of market infrastructure. In addition, joining BME’s retail pricing scheme allows our clients to trade under more advantageous conditions,” said Javier Benzo, Head of Trading, Custody and Research at the bank.
