Técnicas Reunidas celebrates the 20th anniversary of its journey in the capital markets, a milestone reached on 6 June that reflects the company’s evolution as a listed business over the past two decades.
Técnicas Reunidas is a global engineering company that has delivered more than 2,600 projects in over 70 countries throughout its 66-year history. The company specializes in the design and construction of large-scale industrial plants primarily dedicated to the production of clean fuels, natural gas, and chemical products.
It is also at the forefront of technologies and solutions related to facility decarbonization, the circular economy, and digitalization. With a workforce of nearly 14,000 employees, most of whom are highly qualified engineers, Técnicas Reunidas’ headquarters in Spain is a major centre of engineering excellence.
The company began trading on the stock market on 21 June 2006 with a reference price of 17 euro per share. Since then, its share price has evolved in line with different market and industry cycles. At the end of June 2026, the share price stood at 28.9 euro, representing an increase of almost 70% since its market debut.
Técnicas Reunidas went public with the objective of strengthening its financial structure and supporting its growth by taking advantage of the opportunities offered by the capital markets. In this regard, it has also used market transactions to reinforce its financial position, including the capital increase carried out in May 2023, through which it raised more than 150 million euro.
Since then, the company has maintained a continuous presence in the market, consolidating its profile as a listed company and strengthening its relationship with the investment community, both domestically and internationally.
In parallel, the company has complemented its access to financing through its presence in BME’s fixed-income markets. Since 2020, it has maintained both commercial paper and bond financing programmes, which have been progressively renewed and expanded. The commercial paper programme admitted to MARF, initially set at 100 million euro, currently has an outstanding balance of 300 million euro, while the bond programme has increased from 100 million euro at inception to 550 million euro today.
This approach reflects the complementary use of both equity and debt markets as financing tools, as well as the ability of listed companies to diversify their sources of capital.
To mark this anniversary, Técnicas Reunidas rang the opening bell at the Madrid Stock Exchange on 7 July, joined by several of its senior executives.
In the words of Juan Lladó, Executive Chairman of Técnicas Reunidas:
“After two decades as a listed company, we are clearly a much stronger business and a global leader in energy and chemical engineering. Looking ahead, we will continue strengthening our leadership in engineering and innovation to remain the strategic partner of major energy companies in the transformation of energy sources, decarbonization, and technological innovation.”
In the words of Susana de Antonio, Head of Primary Markets at BME:
“BME joins Técnicas Reunidas in celebrating this milestone, highlighting the important role listed companies play in driving economic growth and strengthening capital markets. Its journey is a clear example of how a financing strategy that combines equity and debt, supported by access to public markets, can foster sustainable growth, enhance visibility, and connect companies with investment opportunities around the world.”
