ByteTravel: An Essential Travel Services Company Joins BME Growth

Millions of people travel around the world for leisure or business, and many of them face a key requirement: obtaining a visa. Recognising this opportunity led to the creation of ByteTravel, a traveltech company focused on digitising ancillary services for international travellers

About ByteTravel

Through its platform Visagov, the Barcelona-based company, founded in 2021, processes visas for more than 70 countries. By leveraging technology and artificial intelligence, it has transformed a process that was previously far from digitalised.

While this was its starting point, ByteTravel has since expanded its business to offer a full ecosystem of services designed to improve the travel experience, including eSIM cards (Roamic), insurance (Globely) and VIP lounge booking services (PrioVip).

“These ancillary travel services are not currently well covered by travel agencies or tour operators. We decided to focus on this niche, as these are often essential services,” says Axel Serena, CEO of ByteTravel. The company began trading in July 2024 on BME Scaleup as the first technology company to do so, and is now making the move to BME Growth

ByteTravel reported €19.4 million in net sales in 2025, representing 74% growth compared to 2024. At the same time, average monthly revenue increased from €0.93 million in 2024 to €1.62 million in 2025, reflecting a significant improvement in commercial capacity. As of the end of 2025, the company had double liquidity coverage and 0% bank debt.

This expansion has continued into early 2026, marking a new phase of growth based on a broader and more consolidated business model. In the first quarter, revenue reached €7.31 million, compared to €4.88 million in the same period in 2025, representing 49.9% year-on-year growth

A Key Moment

The company is supported by its own technology platform, which enables it to scale volumes while maintaining a cost-efficient structure, and by a highly diversified customer base with a strong presence in the United States (18% of sales), the United Kingdom (17%) and Germany (12%).

The Barcelona-based company, which became the first newly created tech scaleup to join BME Scaleup with a market capitalisation of €37.8 million, is now making the move to BME Growth following a strong performance during its time in this market. Since its debut in 2024, it has delivered a very positive trajectory, with a share price increase of 242.86% and a market capitalisation of €129.53 million.

This transition, which represents the second case of a company moving from BME Scaleup to BME Growth, reflects a natural step in its development and reinforces its commitment to greater liquidity, visibility and transparency.

We are joining BME Growth at a key moment: we have evolved from a single-service business into a digital platform for travellers. Our ambition is to build a leading global platform from Europe, and listing in this segment provides us with the visibility, investor base and institutional support to achieve this

Looking Ahead

ByteTravel plans to launch new ancillary services, such as claims for flight delays and cancellations. In addition to Barcelona, the company has offices in Madrid and Miami, employs more than 80 people, and plans to open new offices in London and Hong Kong.
