The first half of 2026 was marked by strong activity across the capital markets of SIX, with particularly strong performance from BME in both equity and fixed income markets.

A total of 12 companies joined the equity markets of SIX during the period, nine of them through BME. Of these, seven accessed the growth markets of BME, highlighting the role these segments play in supporting expanding companies seeking access to capital.

The period also featured several notable transactions. TSK completed its IPO, raising 173 million euro, while Andino joined BME Growth as the first Latin American company to list in this segment of the Spanish market, reinforcing its increasingly international profile.

Activity in growth markets remained strong throughout the period. In June, HQ América joined BME Scaleup with a valuation of 51 million euro, becoming the seventh company to access the growth markets of BME in 2026.

The story of Arteche illustrates the long-term value that public markets can create. The company joined BME Growth in 2021 and transferred to the main market in February 2026, increasing its market capitalization by more than eight times over the period. Its journey demonstrates how market structures can adapt to companies' evolving financing needs and support growth at every stage of development.

Secondary Market Activity Continued to Play a Central Role

In Spain, notable transactions included CVC Capital Partners' accelerated sale of Naturgy shares worth 3.1 billion euro and ACS's 1.8 billion euro capital increase to support its investment plans. These transactions highlight the role of capital markets in providing efficient access to additional financing.

In this area, SIX has established itself as one of Europe's leading venues for accelerated bookbuild transactions, with the three largest ABB transactions during the period executed on its Swiss and Spanish markets.

Fixed Income Markets Also Recorded Significant Activity

In May, Banco Sabadell transferred its 20 billion euro debt issuance program to BME, following Banco Santander's decision to repatriate its main debt issuance program, representing 18 billion euro of issuance volume in the previous year. These developments reinforce the position of BME as a relevant venue for debt issuance.

Looking ahead to the second half of 2026, demand for financing is expected to remain strong across both equity and debt markets. Supported by a diversified investor base, deep liquidity and transparent market infrastructure, BME and SIX remain well positioned to support companies through their next stages of growth.
