- IBEX 35® Futures, Mini IBEX Futures, and Micro IBEX Futures will now be available for trading until 10:00 p.m.
MEFF, BME’s derivatives market, has implemented an extension of trading hours effective today. The trading session for IBEX 35® Futures, Mini IBEX Futures, and Micro IBEX Futures on the electronic order book system will now run until 10:00 p.m.
“We continuously strive to respond to the needs of our clients. With this extension, our objective is to position the IBEX 35® Futures contract among the leading benchmark futures that remain tradable until the close of major international markets, such as the New York Stock Exchange,” stated Clotilde Salmerón, Head of Derivatives, MEFF.
In line with this extension, certain post-trade processes, such as the allocation of the Daily Account, will also see their deadlines extended to 10:30 p.m, with file availability extended until 11:45 p.m.
As in other markets within the European environment, a single daily settlement will be conducted with positions at the close of the trading session, using the Daily Settlement Prices derived from the closing prices of the underlying spot markets' futures contracts.
All other derivatives products traded on MEFF will maintain their current trading schedule.
Further information regarding this extension is available on the official website.
