Lingotes Especiales, S.A. is an industrial Group located in Valladolid, Spain, dedicated to the design, development, casting, machining and assembly of iron parts destined mainly to the automotive industry.
Its clientele is based on the ten groups of car manufacturers located in Europe, being homologated by them to be a "Tier One" ie. an original equipment supplier .
The production capacity for brake discs and drums is about 12% on the 15 million vehicles manufactured in the E.U., which is equivalent to 3% of the 60 million vehicles produced worldwide; although casting parts such as clutch plates, flywheels, and others, are also of significance for the plants.
Quality in this industry is a requirement with which the Group is absolutely committed, comparable to that of the aeronautics industry, in such a magnitude that it is measured in terms of 1 digit per million parts.
One of its main strengths is to export between 70/80% of products, mainly to Europe, but also to more distant countries as Brazil, Turkey, China and USA, as well as to any other place in the world.
The plants are equipped with state-of-the-art technology so they can be on the front line of productivity. In addition, the Group invests approximately 2% of its turnover per year in the research and development of new products and processes that make it increasingly competitive.
