Shareholder and Final Beneficial Owner Identification Service and Timely Identification of Final Beneficial Owners

This beneficial owner identification service complements the existing shareholder identification service. In these cases, issuers request information from Iberclear relating to the identification of data on final beneficiaries. Iberclear sends such requests via its participants, which forward them to the intermediaries following the chain of custody. Iberclear then receives information provided by the intermediaries and forward it to the issuers.

The intermediaries, will be able to submit information on the identity of final beneficiaries to Iberclear, directly or through an authorized third party, using the appropriate communication channels:

  • SWIFTNet FINplus (DN: ou=xxx,o=ibrcesmm,o=swift)
  • Direct connectivity through SFTP protocol
  • Direct connectivity through SFTP protocol of an Iberclear participant
